It was actually a dress I bought from a clothing store that day and wore it. So I never thought that something like this would happen. But I wore the dress I bought in a style. Because I really love fashion. At that time, I didn't think that this would be a controversial dress. But some people might think that this is a planned dress. But I know that when you wear something, you have to portray it.
Now, since this is a very popular style worn by actors and actresses in other countries of the world, I thought that Sri Lankans would know it. So I didn't think that it would be a big problem.
Also, even though there are several actresses in our industry who are doing high fashion. I haven't been in Sri Lanka for two years. So I thought that people would understand fashion. I didn't feel the risk of that style. So I wore it because of that. Now, both the good and the bad of this are shared. When I see good things, I feel that there are a lot of people who have that sense of dress and understand it. And I also got to read a few negative comments. I didn't get to read much. Because I recently had a media screening of another of my films and there was a lot of talk about it.
But I have to say that when I saw the negative comments, I didn't feel sad at all. Those negative comments were filled with curses. Many people often vent their pain, anger, and hatred on Facebook by cursing someone. That's what I saw. There was no substance in the negative comments. But there was substance in the positive comments.

I also got to watch the film Ridadapa Bada 106 for the first time on the day of the media screening. I also really thought it was a very good film. I was also very happy after watching the film. Because before watching a film, any actor or actress has a nervousness in their mind until they see what they have done. I had the same nervousness. But after watching the film, I was very happy.

I went to Australia for higher education. At that time, Sudesh Wasantha's film 'Seeruven' had been released. It was after seeing me in it that Suranga de Alwis invited me to his latest film. I should be especially grateful to him, because he waited until my exams were over to start filming here. After that, I finished my exams and came to Sri Lanka and acted. Even though I was supposed to start dubbing again, I had another exam. The university knew that I was a Sri Lankan actress. Finally, I was even given special permission by the university to participate in the dubbing of the film.
At the media screening, the director Suranga Alwis specifically thanked Disney, who played the main character. Because he paid for his own plane ticket and joined the production. We also asked Disney's opinion on that.
I like cinema very much. Cinema and teledrama are not my main professional income. So if I get an invitation for a good production, I will accept it. Besides, I am not abroad for the work of the director Suranga de Alwis or the producers. Am I in Sri Lanka? Am I abroad? I cannot even say. When they pay me the money I charge for the production, I cannot ask them to pay me the plane ticket as well. Because I am abroad for my own work. So, I thought it was not good to do that. So I came at my own expense. But I have no problem with that. It was a creation I made with great pleasure.
