A delegation from the Kenya International Freight and Warehousing Association (KIFWA) held discussions with Acting High Commissioner Ruvini De Silva on August 4, 2026, at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Nairobi. The meeting brought together KIFWA National Chairman Fredrick Aloo, Executive Officer Wycliffe Wanda, and association members to explore avenues for strengthening logistics and trade partnerships between the two nations.
The primary focus of the engagement centered on Sri Lanka Expo 2027, an international exhibition scheduled for Colombo that will feature the country's export sectors, investment opportunities, tourism offerings, and commercial potential. The Acting High Commissioner outlined the expo's objectives and invited KIFWA members to participate, emphasizing the role that logistics and freight forwarding sectors play in facilitating international commerce and deepening bilateral ties.
To build momentum ahead of the expo, the High Commission committed to organizing two promotional briefing sessions targeting Kenya's business community.
