A Sri Lanka Transport Board bus travelling from Colombo to Badulla has met with an accident. The bus fell into a 20-foot gorge in the early hours of this morning, injuring 40 people. Reports indicate that the bus met with an accident near the Diyatalawa railway station. Police said that 40 people were injured in the accident and those injured have been admitted to the Diyatalawa Hospital. A spokesperson for the Diyatalawa Hospital said that one of the injured, who was in a critical condition, has been transferred to the Badulla Hospital for further treatment.
