A Sri Lanka Transport Board bus travelling from Colombo to Badulla overturned into a 20-foot ravine, injuring 42 people, it is reported.
The bus is reported to have met with an accident near the Diyatalawa railway station.
Police said those injured in the accident have been admitted to the Diyatalawa Hospital.
A spokesperson for the Diyatalawa Hospital said that two of the people admitted to the hospital are in critical condition, while one has been transferred to the Badulla Hospital.
