LOLC Life Assurance concluded its island-wide children's art competition 'Sihina Siththara' by rewarding top-performing young artists with a special celebration day at Pearl Bay alongside their families.
LOLC Life Assurance has wrapped up its 'Sihina Siththara' art competition, an initiative designed to encourage creative expression among children across Sri Lanka. The company hosted a celebration event at Pearl Bay to recognize the competition's winners, bringing together young participants, their families, and company officials.
The competition was structured around three age brackets—3 to 5 years, 6 to 8 years, and 9 to 12 years—allowing children of different developmental stages to participate. Participants were invited to submit artwork reflecting their creativity, imagination and individual perspectives. The initiative drew considerable participation from young artists throughout the country, with submissions subsequently evaluated by an expert assessment panel.
Recognition was distributed across multiple tiers of achievement. The top three winners in each age category received cash prizes, while the top 10 finalists in each category were invited to the Pearl Bay event alongside their families. An awards ceremony brought together LOLC Life Assurance management, winners and parents to acknowledge the young participants' accomplishments.
Dr. Chandana L. Aluthgama, Executive Director and Principal Officer of LOLC Life Assurance Ltd., stated that the competition reflects the company's broader commitment to community development and supporting future generations. According to Aluthgama, the initiative aligns with the insurer's corporate mandate to create positive social impact while fostering inclusive opportunities for children in their communities.
