Police said that more than 40 people were injured and admitted to hospital after two private buses collided head-on on the Matara-Talalla road. The accident occurred when a private bus traveling from Galle to Ampara collided head-on with another bus traveling from Tangalle to Matara. The injured passengers in the accident have been admitted to hospitals in Matara and Pathegama, the police added.
