An individual has been arrested with over five kilograms of heroin during a raid conducted by officers of the Colombo Crime Detection Bureau (CCDB) along Ferguson Road in Mattakkuliya, police said.The 40-year-old was arrested following a tip-off last afternoon (01).Police seized 5 kilograms and 140 grams of heroin, Rs. 50,000 in cash suspected to be proceeds from drug trafficking, and two mobile phones allegedly used in connection with the narcotics operation.The suspect, a resident of Colombo 10 has been handed over to the Mattakkuliya Police.Further investigations are being conducted by the Mattakkuliya Police.
