A 61-year-old man has been killed after being attacked by a tamed elephant in Karalliyadda, Menikhinna, police said.The victim, a resident of Menikhinna, was reportedly attacked last night (30) while feeding the elephant.Police launched an investigation after receiving information about the incident and said preliminary inquiries indicate the attack occurred while the man was providing food to the animal.Further investigations are being carried out by the Menikhinna Police.
