Renowned Sri Lankan musician and Cultural Council President Melantha Perera is traveling to Australia this September for performances in Sydney and Melbourne, marking his fourth visit to the country.
Melantha Perera, a celebrated musician and current President of the Cultural Council of the Divisional Secretariat, is set to embark on an Australian tour beginning this September. The artist, who previously served as Chairman of the Moratuwa Cultural Authority, will be performing in two major cities across the month.
Perera's first engagement will be in Sydney on Friday, 12th September, for an event called 'Moratuwa Night Three.' He will perform alongside Noeline, with musical accompaniment provided by Redemption, a Sri Lankan band based in Australia. This marks Perera's third appearance at the Sydney event. Following the Sydney performance, he will travel to Melbourne on Saturday, 20th September for a "Sing Along with Melantha Perera" event.
This represents Perera's fourth trip to Australia overall. Expressing enthusiasm about the upcoming performances, Perera stated that he looks forward to reconnecting with friends and music enthusiasts in both cities. Back in Sri Lanka, the musician remains active in the local music scene, performing with Mintaka, a five-piece band led by Chris Dhason.
