Sri Lanka was prominently featured at the Miss Polski 2026 grand final in Poland, with the country's ambassador attending as guest of honour and the pageant incorporating footage from a promotional tour of the island.
Sri Lanka took centre stage at the Miss Polski 2026 grand final gala held in Nowy Sącz, Poland, and broadcast live on Polsat television. The event was attended by Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Poland, Priyangika Dharmasena, who served as guest of honour at the ceremony featuring dance performances, musical acts, contestant introductions, and formal dress parades.
The pageant's connection to Sri Lanka stemmed from a promotional tour organised by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau that ran from June 7 to 17. During this period, the 24 finalists and their production team visited the island to film segments for the competition. Notably, the pageant's bikini segment was shot on location in Sri Lanka, showcasing the country's scenic landscapes and generating significant media attention in Poland.
A presentation screening during the gala highlighted the contestants' experiences in Sri Lanka, showcasing the island's hospitality and various photo shoot locations. This material further promoted Sri Lanka as a tourism destination to the Polish audience.
Wiktoria Ptak was crowned Miss Polski 2026 and will represent Poland at Miss Supranational. As part of her prize, Ptak received a cash award and two round-trip air tickets to Sri Lanka for a ten-day visit with full hospitality arrangements. The prize was offered jointly by the pageant organisers and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Warsaw.
