The service firearm reported missing by the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Traffic Division of the Yatiyanthota Police has been recovered during a search operation conducted near the Yatiyanthota Bridge, police said.The firearm was found by officers attached to the Police Naval Diving Unit during a search carried out in the area.The Traffic OIC was arrested on June 27 after his official firearm was reported missing.He was later produced before the Ruwanwella Magistrate's Court and remanded pending further investigations into the incident.
