The Terrorism Investigation Division has made significant progress in a murder investigation following a shooting incident at Huludagoda in Mount Lavinia on August 15. Police have arrested four individuals in connection with the case, including the main suspect and a female suspect among the group.
During the arrests, law enforcement recovered a revolver, 12 live rounds of ammunition, and six spent cartridges from the suspects' possession. The recovery of these items provides material evidence in the ongoing investigation into the fatal shooting.
The involvement of the Terrorism Investigation Division in the case suggests authorities are examining potential links to organized crime or other serious criminal activity. The arrest of multiple suspects indicates the shooting may not have been an isolated incident but part of a broader criminal network under investigation.
