Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's response to Chief Minister Vijay's short story in the Tamil Nadu Assembly has been well received.

Responding to the complaints of Opposition Leader Udhayanidhi Stalin in the Tamil Nadu Assembly, Chief Minister Vijay said that the DMK has committed corruption in all sectors. However, the DMK MLAs, including Opposition Leader Stalin, who refused to accept this, walked out of the House. Where else can political criticism be made? After they left, Chief Minister Vijay told a short story, 'An old man was looking for someone in the sun.. A boy nearby asked, 'Who are you looking for?' To which the old man said, 'I can't find your father.. I am looking for him.'' He ended the story by saying.

In the absence of DMK leader M.K. Stalin in the Assembly, it was seen that Vijay told this story to compare him and his son Udhayanidhi. This has caused unrest among DMK members.

Regarding this, Udhayanidhi Stalin had posted on the X site without any civility, saying, ‘Don’t talk like this.. Everyone knows the story of the wife looking for her husband in Chengalpattu Court.’

In this situation, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who commented on this to reporters, said, ‘Where else can political criticism be made if not in the Legislative Assembly? Let the opposition party also answer.. Let the ruling party also speak.. There is nothing wrong with that.’
