The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning notice for the sea areas from Kalpitiya to Kankesanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil.
Accordingly, the wind speed in the sea areas off the coast from Kalpitiya to Kankesanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil may increase to 50-60 kilometers per hour at times, and the sea areas in question will be turbulent at times.
