Sri Lankan pageant authority Chulpadmendra Kumarapathirana has judged the finals of four major national pageants within a single month, marking what organisers describe as an industry first for the country.
Chulpadmendra Kumarapathirana, a prominent model and pageant mentor, has taken on finale judging roles across four national pageant competitions within 30 days — a milestone that pageant organisers say is unprecedented in Sri Lanka's industry. Her involvement spans Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2026, Mister Sri Lanka 2026, Miss Universe Maldives 2026, and Pearls of Sri Lanka, with the latter scheduled to conclude on 30th August.
According to pageant organisers, Kumarapathirana's appointment to these multiple judging positions reflects the trust national directors place in her professional reputation and commitment to fair assessment. Miss Universe Sri Lanka and Mister Sri Lanka were judged under the direction of National Director Nirmal Bandara, while Pearls of Sri Lanka is led by National Director Dr. Asanka Weerasingha. Her participation in the Miss Universe Maldives competition also indicates her growing standing within international pageantry circles.
Beyond her judging commitments, Kumarapathirana maintains an active role as a model and founder of her own modelling school, where she mentors emerging talent. She is also serving as National Director for Universal Woman Sri Lanka 2026, a global platform emphasising women's leadership and positive social impact. Winners from the various national competitions she has judged are expected to represent Sri Lanka and the Maldives at international pageant competitions.
