COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Transport Commission (NTC) states that the proposal for the new bus fare revision is scheduled to be submitted to the Cabinet for approval.The Commission noted that these proposals will be forwarded to the Cabinet through the Ministry of Transport. The NTC mentioned that the decision taken by the Cabinet will be announced in the future.The annual bus fare revision is conducted on July 1st. The new bus fares are scheduled to be announced, taking into account the recent fuel price revision as well.Meanwhile, The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) has announced a reduction in fuel prices effective from midnight today.Accordingly, the price of Octane 92 petrol has been reduced by Rs. 20 per litre, bringing the new price down to Rs. 414.The price of Lanka Auto Diesel has also been reduced by Rs. 25 per litre, with the new price set at Rs. 382 per litre.However, there has been no change in the prices of 95 Octane petrol, Super Diesel, and kerosene. Lanka IOC stated that it has reduced its fuel prices in line with the CPC.
