The case was taken up for hearing at the Colombo High Court today (26).

Since Colombo High Court Judge Buddhika C. Ragala, who is hearing the case, was on leave today, the case was taken up for hearing before Colombo High Court Judge Udesh Ranatunga. At that time, the judge ordered that the case be taken up for pre-trial objection hearings on July 31st.

It is noteworthy that Venerable Gnanasara Thero has been sentenced to nine months in prison in another similar case.
