Sri Lanka's Department of Examinations has assured students that Advanced Level question papers are secure after packets were found at an examination centre, confirming tomorrow's exams will proceed as scheduled.

The Department of Examinations has moved to reassure Advanced Level candidates ahead of tomorrow's scheduled examinations, stating that question papers remain secure and uncompromised. The department urged all students to sit for the exams without concern, emphasizing that proceedings will follow normal protocols.

The assurance came following the discovery on Thursday at an examination centre in the Ambalantota area of six packets containing Physics exam question papers set for the following day. The packets were found inside a container that also held question paper materials for Music, Dancing, and Agriculture examinations scheduled for the same day.

According to the Department of Examinations, the Physics question paper packets had not been opened or exposed. Officials stated that the packets were immediately resealed following their discovery, and appropriate measures were undertaken to ensure the integrity of the examination materials. The department maintained that the incident does not compromise the security of tomorrow's examination process.
