National People’s Power (NPP) councillor Mahinda Gunasekara has resigned from his position as a member of the Badulla Municipal Council.Gunasekara has reportedly resigned due to personal reasons.Following the vacancy created by his resignation, Jayasena Ratnayake was sworn in as the new NPP councillor of the Badulla Municipal Council.Ratnayake took oaths before Uva Province Governor Attorney-at-Law Kapila Jayasekara.
