The proceedings of the Parliament session scheduled for today (26) have commenced under the patronage of Deputy Speaker Dr. Rizvi Salley. The order published in the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2478/41 under the Sri Lanka Electricity Act is scheduled to be debated for approval from 11.30 am to 2.00 pm today. Parliament states that the adjournment motion on the fight against the drug menace presented by the government yesterday is scheduled to be debated further from 2.00 pm to 5.30 pm.
