A dog named 'Subramaniam', which has been accompanying the walking group from Jaffna to Kataragama for the past 35 days, has now become a big topic of conversation on social media. The dog, which spontaneously joined the walking group at Mullaitivu, Mulliyawala and Tansiruru areas, has been continuing its journey for about 35 days now. Regarding this, the leader of the group, Jayavel Samy, said, “This dog joined us as per the will of God. We are bringing it as an emissary of Lord Murugan with a silk tie around its neck, Vibhuti and sandalwood on its forehead. It is amazing that it eats only the vegetarian food that we eat along the way.” When the group felt unwell in Trincomalee, the dog started accompanying them again and started guiding them in front. The dog, who is naturally a carnivore, has been traveling thousands of miles with devotees for the past 35 days, consuming only vegetarian food. This has left devotees in a state of devotion. Recalling the Puranas that hunting dogs were present during Lord Muruga's hunter form, this 'Subramaniam' traveling as a guide amidst the chants of the devotees has left everyone amazed.
