A discussion was held at the Balagala Divisional Secretariat on December 16th with the aim of providing a permanent solution to the human-elephant conflict, a major problem facing the people under the Balagala Divisional Secretariat, Anuradhapura. The discussion, chaired by Anuradhapura District Member of Parliament Thilina Samarakoon and Balagala Divisional Secretary Mrs. Miuri Priyadarshani, was attended by Grama Niladhari, representatives of agricultural organizations, Officers-in-Charge of Kalgiriyagama and Kiranegama Police Stations and officials representing the Department of Wildlife and Forest Conservation.
