Guardians of students at Kirindiwela Bogahawatta Jinānanda Primary School have filed a police complaint alleging their children lost nearly 30 minutes of examination time due to delayed distribution of question papers during yesterday's Grade 5 Scholarship Examination.

A group of parents has approached Kirindiwela Police with allegations that students from Kirindiwela Bogahawatta Jinānanda Primary School faced unfair disadvantage during the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination held yesterday. According to the parents, question papers scheduled for distribution at 11:15 a.m. were not provided until approximately 11:30 a.m., and were subsequently collected at 12:15 p.m., effectively reducing the students' examination time by roughly 30 minutes.

The parents contend that this delay significantly disadvantaged their children in completing the examination. They claim to have initially sought resolution through appropriate channels, with an official from the Gampaha Zonal Education Office visiting the examination centre at Kirindiwela Central College to discuss the matter with parents. However, when no satisfactory resolution was reached through these discussions, the parents decided to escalate the issue to law enforcement by lodging the formal police complaint.
