COLOMBO (News 1st) - Parliament is set to convene from tomorrow until July 24, with several key accountability and governance-related matters scheduled for debate during the sittings.Among the items listed for discussion is the consideration of two determinations under Standing Orders 119 and 120, which are expected to be taken up for approval tomorrow.One of the key issues to be debated is a decision relating to the referral of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) report on the programme granting permits for the importation of fully electric vehicles to Sri Lankans employed overseas to the Attorney General.Parliament is also scheduled to debate a decision to refer matters identified in reports of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption for further action.In addition, lawmakers are expected to take up an adjournment motion concerning the work and performance of the Committee on Public Petitions of the Tenth Parliament.
