The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has announced reductions in petrol prices, with Petrol 95 falling by Rs. 20 and Petrol 92 by Rs. 15 per litre, while diesel and kerosene prices remain stable.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) has implemented a downward revision of fuel prices effective from midnight on August 30th. The price reduction applies to both petrol grades currently available in the market.
Petrol 95 Octane has been reduced by Rs. 20 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs. 475 from the previous Rs. 495. Petrol 92 Octane has seen a smaller reduction of Rs. 15 per litre, with prices moving from Rs. 414 to Rs. 399 per litre. These adjustments represent the latest in a series of fuel price revisions by the state petroleum corporation.
The price revision does not extend to other fuel categories. Diesel, Super Diesel, and kerosene prices have remained unchanged under this revision. According to the corporation's announcement, Lanka Auto Diesel continues at Rs. 382 per litre, Super Diesel at Rs. 478 per litre, and kerosene at Rs. 285 per litre. The new prices apply across all Ceypetco retail outlets island-wide.
