Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasooriya arrives in the Philippines At the special invitation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasooriya departed for Manila, the Philippines, on an official visit yesterday (March 08) midnight to participate in the International Women’s Day celebrations. The Prime Minister, who arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila, was received by the Sri Lankan Ambassador to the Philippines, Dr. Chanaka Talpahewa, high-ranking officials of the Philippine government and representatives of the Asian Development Bank. As a key part of the visit, the Prime Minister will deliver a special address at the International Women’s Day celebration to be held at the Asian Development Bank headquarters in Manila. In addition, the Prime Minister will engage in bilateral discussions with several ministers of the Philippine government during the visit. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest between Sri Lanka and the Philippines, as well as cooperation between the two countries and further strengthening of bilateral relations, will be discussed.
