by Staff Writer 04-07-2026 | 4:59 PMCOLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police have seized two locally-manufactured T-56 rifles from Modara.Police said the raid was carried out based on information received from a suspect named 'Modara Chathura', who is currently in custody in relation to a drug-related case.Police added, Both firearms recovered are in working condition.According to Police, 'Modara Chathura' is the brother of 'Modara Nipuna', who has been issued a red notice and is currently in hiding in Dubai.
