Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe and leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa paid their last respects to the remains of veteran singer Mariazelle Goonetilleke.The final rites of the renowned singer are scheduled to be held today (13) at the Borella General Cemetery. Her remains are currently lying at a private funeral parlour in Borella.Goonetilleke, who had been receiving treatment after a prolonged illness, passed away in the early hours of Friday (10) while undergoing treatment at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital.
