Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala has stated that the anti-drug activities being carried out by the current government are not just a drama like the previous governments in the country.
Defence Minister Ananda Wijepala made this statement while participating in the National Anti-Drug Rally today (26). He added that we have identified the global scourge of drug abuse and trafficking as a major threat to our country. He also stated that as a society, we should not move even an inch towards this destruction.
No matter what challenges come, we are not ready to turn back on this journey. This will not be just a stage play like the anti-drug activities carried out in the past. We have now embarked on a realistic program to rescue this land and future generations from this scourge, the Public Security Minister stated.
