Sri Lanka's premier food processing and agriculture exhibition will take place at BMICH from August 21st to 23rd, featuring over 450 stalls and more than 50 international exhibitors.

The 23rd edition of ProFood ProPack & AgBiz will convene industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and consumers at the Colombo venue for a three-day networking and knowledge-sharing platform. Jointly organised by the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association and Lanka Exhibition & Conference Services, the event is projected to draw more than 30,000 trade and consumer attendees while showcasing offerings from over 450 exhibitors distributed across six halls.

The exhibition will welcome international participation from countries including China, India, and Germany, positioning itself as a significant regional industry gathering. The event caters to both business-to-business and business-to-consumer audiences, connecting manufacturers, exporters, retailers, distributors, investors, and the general public. A dedicated SME Pavilion, supported by the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, will provide emerging businesses with discounted stall fees at half price, enabling them to gain market access and visibility among industry stakeholders.

Educational programming forms a central component of the 2026 edition, with a Knowledge Hub hosting expert sessions on technology, innovations, and industry best practices. Complementing this, an Industry Support Services zone will feature laboratory and certification organisations offering guidance on quality assurance, product testing, food safety, and regulatory compliance. A new attraction—the Home Cooking Challenge—will invite amateur cooks to prepare dishes using exhibition products, combining culinary competition with product promotion.

The exhibition has secured backing from multiple corporate sponsors across platinum, gold, and silver tiers, including major companies such as Cargills Ceylon PLC, Nestlé Lanka Ltd, and Hayleys Agriculture Holdings Limited. Organisers characterise the event as reinforcing Sri Lanka's position as an emerging innovation hub within the food processing and agricultural sectors while facilitating investment and collaborative opportunities.
