According to reports, Kumarapathirana had hosted a pageant event at Waters Edge the evening before her death and maintained an active professional schedule until the incident occurred.
In response to the death, fellow model Rozanne Diaz released a statement urging the public to exercise caution in their communication about the incident. Diaz emphasized that spreading unverified information and engaging in speculation could complicate ongoing investigations and cause additional harm to those affected.
Diaz called on members of the public to await the outcomes of official investigations before drawing conclusions.
