(M.S.M. Zakir) A dengue eradication campaign was held in the 06th division of Sainthamaruthu under the Clean Sri Lanka program on Friday (26) at the Sainthamaruthu Akbar Jum’up Mosque premises. The incidence of dengue in the country is increasing unexpectedly and this situation is being monitored very seriously in government institutions and religious places, so steps were taken to clean the premises of the religious place, the Sainthamaruthu Akbar Jum’up Mosque. The event was held under the chairmanship of the President of the 6th division of Prajashakti, M.I. Nazeem, and the Community Empowerment Officer, M.I.S. Parveen, Grama Seva Officer, A.K. Sanas, Sainthamaruthu Police Officers, Prajashakti members and the administration of the Sainthamaruthu Akbar Jum’up Mosque, thoroughly cleaned the mosque premises. A new circular has been issued to prevent and control dengue fever, and accordingly, a special dengue eradication program has been declared for 3 days starting Wednesday (24).
