There is no shortage of cooking gas, there is sufficient gas in stock - Litro Company Announcement Litro Company has advised that there is no shortage of cooking gas, there is sufficient gas in stock, so the public does not need to panic.
Responding to the demand for gas cylinders in the Colombo market, Litro Gas Lanka Limited has assured that sufficient stocks have been ensured and the public does not need to panic.
Litro Company indicated in a statement issued today (19) that the temporary shortage occurred due to an unexpected increase in demand in the market and a 2-day supply disruption that occurred on February 14.
It has also been announced that 284,000 domestic gas cylinders have already been distributed to the market on February 17th and 18th and another 351,000 cylinders will be distributed from today to next Saturday.
Litro has already made reservations for the necessary stocks with a view to further streamlining the supply, and 3 ships are expected to arrive in the country by the end of this month, according to a statement issued by Litro.
Therefore, the Litro Chairman, who assured that there will be no gas shortage, has stated that the public should not panic and purchase cylinders unnecessarily.
