Sampath Bank secured an undefeated run through the league stage of the MCA Honour Champions League 2026, winning each of their five matches to progress to the semi-finals from the top position. The bank's victories came against LOLC Holdings by 64 runs, Abans Group by 76 runs, MAS Intimates by 131 runs, Commercial Bank by 91 runs, and Ceylinco General Insurance by a narrow margin of 2 runs.

The team's success has been underpinned by strong individual performances across both batting and bowling disciplines. Dulaj Ashen emerged as the league's leading bowler with 11 wickets taken during the group stage, while also contributing significantly with the bat, accumulating 172 runs including a highest score of 83 not out, which places him as the second-highest run getter in the league.
