Saudi Arabian authorities have brought under control a fire at an oil company facility in Jizan province, with Yemeni Houthi forces claiming responsibility for the incident via drone strike.

Firefighting teams in Saudi Arabia successfully extinguished a fire that erupted at a Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco) facility located in Jizan province on Sunday. According to the Saudi Energy Ministry, the incident resulted in no casualties.

The Yemeni Houthi movement has claimed responsibility for the attack through their military spokesman Yahya Saree, who stated via the social media platform X that the group carried out the operation using a drone. Saree characterized the strike as a response to what he described as Saudi drone attacks on Yemen's Saada and Hajjah provinces.

While Saudi officials have not publicly responded to the Houthis' claims, the Energy Ministry's statement confirming the fire and its extinguishment represents an official acknowledgment of the incident. The attack marks the latest in an ongoing series of military operations between the kingdom and the Houthi group, reflecting escalating tensions in the region.
