Authorities have uncovered that detained drug trafficker Shiran Basik owns hotels, vehicles, and commercial properties valued in the millions across Europe and the Middle East, in addition to local holdings in Colombo.

Investigations into large-scale drug trafficker Shiran Basik have revealed an extensive international property portfolio accumulated through his criminal operations. According to the Police Central Crime Investigation Bureau, Basik owns multiple properties across Switzerland, Italy, and France, including hotel establishments that he personally managed during visits to these countries.

Domestic assets discovered during questioning include several hotels located on Colombo Sea Street and mobile phone retail shops in the Boralesgamuwa area. The investigation also identified a high-value vehicle registered in Dubai, a jeep worth over 15 million rupees, adding to the scope of his accumulated wealth.

Basik remains in custody at the Colombo Central Crime Investigation Bureau, where ongoing questioning has uncovered details of his financial operations and property ownership. The discovery of assets across multiple jurisdictions underscores the scale of his trafficking network and the transnational nature of his criminal enterprise.
