Colombo (News 1st) The Anuradhapura Special High Court has sentenced a 32-year-old accused of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl to 32 years in prison. The High Court judge ordered the victim to pay Rs. 500,000 in compensation and a fine of Rs. 70,000 in addition to this. The Attorney General filed a charge sheet against the suspect and investigations were conducted after the case was concluded in the Thambuttegama area in July 2016. The Anuradhapura Special High Court announced the verdict today (24).
