Do not carry plastic items while going to the Sivanolipadhamalai Yatra - Central Environment Authority's request

The Central Environment Authority has stated in a statement issued today (10) that garbage, including plastic items, should not be thrown in the area while going to the Sivanolipadhamalai Yatra. Accordingly, if any garbage is collected while visiting the Sivanolipadhamalai Yatra, the Central Environment Authority has requested all devotees to take that garbage home or hand it over to the garbage collection centers operated by local government bodies, private institutions and charitable organizations during the Sivanolipadhamalai Yatra period at the main entrances to the Sivanolipadhamalai Yatra (i.e. the Nallathanni Path and the two routes coming through Ratnapura).
