Six people have been killed in separate road accidents reported across several parts of Sri Lanka during the past 24 hours, Police said.Two people had died following a collision between a lorry and a motorcycle in the Bodagama area of Thanamalwila.The motorcyclist and pillion rider had sustained serious injuries and were admitted to the Thanamalwila Hospital, where they later had succumbed to their injuries.The deceased were identified as two men aged 47 and 63, residents of Katuwana and Veyangoda, police said.Meanwhile, a 72-year-old cyclist has been killed in a collision involving a bicycle and a motorcycle in Kopay.Another 72-year-old man died in a separate accident in Hikkaduwa after being struck by a lorry while walking along the road, according to Police.In Veyangoda, a 70-year-old resident of Bemmulla lost his life in a road accident that occurred along Bandaranaike Mawatha.In a separate incident in Kekirawa, a 47-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a motorcycle while walking along the road.Police are conducting further investigations into all the incidents.
