Sri Lanka's premier marketing institute has partnered with finance education provider NANASKA to offer executive training combining financial acumen, strategic leadership, and commercial thinking for marketing professionals.

The Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and NANASKA (Pvt) Ltd have formalised a strategic partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing professional development among marketing practitioners. The collaboration seeks to address evolving industry demands by bridging the gap between creative expertise and commercial acumen within the marketing sector.

The partnership's inaugural offering will be the Finance and Leadership Masterclass for Marketing Professionals, an executive-level programme designed to equip marketers with improved financial literacy, commercial strategy skills, and leadership capabilities. According to SLIM President Enoch Perera, the initiative reflects recognition that contemporary marketing professionals require both creative excellence and strategic business understanding to drive organisational value.

NANASKA Executive Director Channa Gunawardana emphasised that modern marketers need competency beyond creative work, highlighting the importance of financial acumen and leadership skills in creating measurable business impact. The programme aims to provide participants with practical knowledge and confidence to lead effectively in dynamic corporate environments.

Beyond the immediate masterclass launch, the partnership establishes a foundation for developing future programmes in emerging areas including artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and business leadership. Officials from both organisations stressed that meaningful partnerships create opportunities for continuous professional development while fostering closer collaboration between marketing and finance functions across Sri Lankan businesses.
