The Spider-Man film has crossed $858.4 million in domestic earnings, overtaking Avengers: Endgame's $858.3 million to claim the second position on the all-time North American box office charts.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has officially become the second-highest-grossing film ever at the domestic box office, edging past Avengers: Endgame with $858.4 million in earnings compared to Endgame's $858.3 million, according to Deadline. The achievement marks a significant milestone for the Marvel franchise, which now occupies both the top and second positions in this category.

The film's momentum continues unabated as it maintains strong weekly performance. During its fourth Monday in theaters, Spider-Man: Brand New Day generated $3.4 million, positioning it to potentially reach the $900 million domestic mark. This trajectory would place it among an elite group of films that have approached the $1 billion threshold domestically, alongside Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Currently, the film stands $41.6 million away from the $900 million milestone.

Box office projections for the coming weekend suggest Spider-Man: Brand New Day will retain its number one position, with estimates of approximately $18 million during its fifth weekend release. The film faces competition from several new entries, including Coyote Vs. Acme, which Ketchup Entertainment has taken over following Warner Bros.' abandonment of the project. Coyote Vs. Acme is tracking for around $15 million despite generating only $400,000 in sneak previews and advance sales.

Other releases this weekend include Sony's Insidious: Out of the Further, expected to decline approximately 60 percent to roughly $10 million in its second frame, along with 20th Century Studios' Dog Stars and Roadside Attractions' Sundance title Buddy. Meanwhile, Disney plans to re-release Avengers: Endgame: Encore on September 25, potentially affecting the competitive landscape.
