The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in partnership with the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, briefed diplomatic missions stationed in the capital on investment opportunities available in the country. The initiative aims to encourage greater international participation and position Sri Lanka as an attractive investment destination on the regional stage.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Arun Hemachandra emphasized Sri Lanka's expanding opportunities for foreign investors and its potential access to emerging markets. Officials stressed the importance of strengthening collaboration between government and the private sector, particularly through high-level public-private partnerships. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the private sector is viewed as essential to driving sustainable economic growth and attracting international capital.
