The Department of Meteorology says strong winds of between 40 and 50 kmph can be expected at times in several parts of the country due to active south-west monsoon conditions.
The affected areas include the Central, Sabaragamuwa and North Central provinces, as well as the districts of Monaragala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Trincomalee and Mannar.
The Met Department has advised the public to take necessary precautions to minimise damage caused by strong winds. (Newswire)
