In accordance with the instructions of the Department of Social Services, in order to strengthen the differently-abled at the district level, self-help groups should be formed with the differently-abled in each district. Accordingly, a self-help group meeting was held yesterday (19) at the Padavi Siripura Divisional Secretariat under the chairmanship of the District Coordinator Social Services T. Pranavan at the Padavi Siripura Divisional Secretariat Assembly Hall. New members were elected at today's meeting and the responsibilities and duties of the new members were also explained. Furthermore, the activities provided by the Department of Social Services to self-help groups and differently-abled and the services provided by the National Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities and the activities provided by the Child Development Fund were also explained.
