Six suspects have been arrested by the police along with Gajamuthu in Dambalagama. The arrest was made yesterday (26.6.2026). A team of officers from the Dambalagama Police Station, including Abeysekara, were on patrol near the 'Rattu Palama' (Red Bridge) on Kinniya Road. Further investigation During this time, when the police stopped and searched a motor vehicle traveling from Dambalagama towards Kinniya, an object suspected to be Gajamuthu was found inside the vehicle. The Police Station Officer-in-Charge, who rushed to the scene, arrested Gajamuthu and the persons traveling with him and took them to the police station. Furthermore, the three-wheeler that was travelling with the motor vehicle and the persons travelling in it, suspected to be related to this kidnapping, have been arrested by the police on suspicion. The six suspects who were arrested will be produced before the Kandalaya Magistrate's Court and the Thambalagamam Police are conducting further investigations in this regard.
