Shramadhana event at Batticaloa District Secretariat on the occasion of National Environment Day and Dengue Eradication Week

Another Shramadhana was held at Batticaloa District Secretariat on the occasion of National Environment Day and National Dengue Eradication Week. The Shramadhana event, jointly organized by the officers working at the District Secretariat, was also held in the outer areas surrounding the District Secretariat premises yesterday (26). The event was held on the advice and guidance of District Government Agent J.S. Arulraj. District Secretariat Administrative Officer K.Madhivannan, District Secretariat Accountant R.Mathan and other District Secretariat rank-and-file officers and officers working in all divisions of the District Secretariat participated in the event and performed Shramadhana. With the main objective of eradicating dengue, a large amount of waste such as plastic items, bottles and polythene bags found in the areas outside the District Secretariat premises were removed and the areas were cleaned.
