We hear incidents that can be measured to what extent the law enforcement agencies of this country have been used by politicians in the prostitution business.
Some politicians in this country and their associates have become powerful enough to place bids on notorious criminals in police custody. By doing so, they have also been able to cover all those crimes with a political cloak. In the context of a judicial process being launched regarding that incident, we will wait until the truth or falsehood of the allegations regarding it is revealed in the future.
The President, who came to Parliament the day before yesterday (25) after some time with the reporting of this incident, made a great speech. The dark shadows of a criminal state were spread throughout his entire speech. There is no doubt that all law-abiding citizens of this country agree with the President's views. Under no circumstances should there be authorized criminals or robbers who take the law into their own hands in a state. If such people exist and still exist, they should be brought to justice at any level and their crimes should be exposed before society. We also emphasize that the criminals should not be divided into those in the ruling party and those in the opposition.
Now let us get away from the criminal state and enter the crime of the state. As the flames of war that were burning in the Middle East show signs of ending, the price of crude oil in the world market has started to fall significantly. At the same time, several countries like Pakistan and India have reduced fuel prices and passed the benefit on to their own citizens.
Even if those countries do so, we cannot do so. Because every time the price of crude oil in the world market falls, our country has a reserve of crude oil for several months. But the greatness of the misfortune is that when the world price of oil increases, our oil tanks remain empty. We should think of it as our own fault and learn to make up our minds. Because while the country's treasury is full, the rats are starving and dying.
A number of sectors that have been hit by the high fuel prices are currently going through a period of transition. In particular, many large-scale factories are facing severe financial crises due to the extraordinary increase in fuel and electricity prices. It does not take a degree in economics to understand that the collapse of this industry, which provides employment to tens of thousands, will have a very negative impact on the future of the country.
Similarly, bus associations have decided to increase bus fares by the day after tomorrow. The demand of bus owners is also justified. They are not mentally ill to take passengers at low prices by extorting fuel at high prices.
On the other hand, fishermen have restricted their sea voyages. As a result, fish prices have skyrocketed. Fishing boats that used to spend months at sea fishing have now started returning to land within a few weeks. The reason is the high fuel cost. As a result, fish harvests have decreased and prices have increased.
All these sectors are facing many challenges due to fuel prices. But the government is not responsible. It is as if the government does not have any problem with fuel.
True, the problem lies with the citizens of the country. However, if the government does not consider this crisis humanely and immediately reduce fuel prices and provide relief to the people, it is impossible to prevent the country's production process from collapsing and going into a major crisis. We do not think that there are people in the government who are foolish enough to take on such a serious challenge.
