(Our Correspondent) A discussion between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the coconut and food products manufacturing industry regarding the development of the coconut and food products export sector into a $3 billion economy within the next two years was held at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (26). Accordingly, it is expected to develop the coconut and food products export sector to $2 billion and the food products export sector to $1 billion, and the relevant plans were discussed in detail here. The President stated that he expects to provide any support that the government may need to promote export diversification and value-added products.
