A Sri Lanka Transport Board passenger bus travelling from Colombo to Badulla fell into a 20-foot gorge near the Diyatalawa railway line early this morning (27). The 42 people injured in the accident were immediately rescued and admitted to the Diyatalawa Hospital. Police said they are currently receiving treatment. While the cause of the accident has not yet been confirmed, police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
