Police have arrested three suspects in relation to the killing of a man in Katana, with investigations led by the Negombo Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau.

Three individuals have been taken into custody following an assault and homicide in Katana. The arrests were made on August 28 during an operation led by the Negombo Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau based on investigative leads. The suspects were apprehended in separate locations across the Western Province before being transferred to Katana Police for further questioning.

The three individuals range in age from 23 to 49 years old and are believed to be from residential areas including Kadirana, Ettukala, and Kochchikade. According to police, the main suspect faces charges related to the killing, while the other two are accused of providing assistance in connection with the crime.

The case remains under investigation by local law enforcement authorities as they work to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
